Addiction

Ok, ever since I started working, I've had more or less 9 hours of internet connection at my disposal. Add to that, the initial 6 months of work consisted of me basically doing nothing. So that's when I was first introduced to online shopping by the boyfriend, who opened up the world of eBay to me.

Initially, I pooh-poohed all those people who said that once you start, you can never stop. And then, I made my first purchase.

From then on, ladies and gentlemen, there was no stopping. It was the thrill of searching for stuff and doing research for the cheapest deal you could get online. Seriously, stuff online is SO much cheaper than in physical shops. I started prowling the site like a recessionista smelling a sale around the corner. And clicking the bid or "Buy it now" button everytime you see something you like never seemed easier. Granted, if you buy stuff internationally like from China, Hong Kong or US, shipping time is a b*tch, because it can take a month before it reaches you.

But eBay could only offer you so much. Which my colleague (devil in disguise?) later rectified by introducing me to Lowyat.net. That's when my condition took a turn for the worse. From a simple dress, I started taking part in makeup sprees and clothing pre-orders. I super love my E.L.F Studio makeup brushes which I got dirt cheap!

eBay and Lowyat were not my only haunts. I did venture to local blogshops to see what they were offering (even bought a pair of to-die-for pumps that are, unfortunately, too big for me *wails*), but I prefered eBay and Lowyat for the cheaper rates offered. And my hoard is growing bigger and bigger! I might need to have a yard sale soon... O.o
Of course, with online shopping, there is a risk that you might not like what you have bought when it arrives at your doorstep. Quality might be bad, colours different from what is shown, or it might not even fit you. But for me, the prices you get online is worth taking the risk. And you can negate some of the risks by doing RESEARCH. I admit, sometimes I get pretty obsessed with the research part because I don't want to end up with an item I absolutely hate. Another plus point is, I've also picked up a lot of beauty tips along the way.

So now, I have bought clothes, shoes, makeup and skincare, all online. Beauty tips were free :D

Now, with all these new stuff, I find the vainpot in me struggling to fight for domination of this currently couldn't-care-less body.

Holiday mode

Ahhh....assignments submitted, exams over...I feel so free right now! (don't remind me bout FYP! It's nonexistent for the time being...) Went to sing k with Keith, Kevin, Grace-y, JuYau and Hoe-pet the day after my last paper...my voice is so out of shape adi!!!! Hey, voice also must exercise ok...!!! Grace-y had to leave at 6pm so it was just me with the guys till late at night.

Woke up early Sunday morning to go to Genting and gila gila there with other crazy people for a night. Was kinda tired though, coz I only slept for like 2 hours on Saturday night. Went to theme park, but it was kinda boring adi, the thrills lasted for such a short while... :( Hung out at Starbucks while waiting for our turn to check in to the hotel (our turn was like, 400 numbers away!!!) OOoooo, got tired of waiting so some of us went to the casino...my first time!!! Had a drinking session in the room that night. There seemed to be some conspiracy to try to get me drunk...hmm...couldn't drink much that night, was probably too tired...so I bowed out and went to bed before the bottle was empty... O.o This seems to be a day of firsts...

Was really tired on Monday. Couldn't seem to keep myself awake. Was sleeping wherever I could; at breakfast, back at the hotel room, in the car on the way down from Genting, even at CincauAaron's place while watching tv :s But managed to find the strength to go out yum cha with Keith and Kevin that night though, came home around 1-something am only...LOL...

Tuesday...aahhh....finally a day where I'm free to do my laundry.

Wednesday, went on a date <3 color="#ff0000">SorryWrongNumber, Coffee, and Erica (Coffee's friend). Angelina Jolie is SOOooo HAWT!!! I'll say it again, I wouldn't mind doing her....wouldn't mind doing her other half either....heck, wouldn't mind doing them both at the same time! After satisfying my fantasies in the cinema, we went to Sunway Pyramid to jalan jalan...(Coffee's idea, he must have been really bored those past few days)

Friday, laundry day again. Yippie!!! (hey, I haven't had much time to do laundry since exams started ok....!)

Saturday, again, laundry day...(chill...it's almost all done already)

Sunday, went to the Puppy.com doggie event at 1Utama park with SissyDear. It was drizzling that day though, we got kinda soaked. Doggies looked like wet balls of moving fur. Blue-y looked even more like a wet piece of moving rug....ahaks. Managed to pop into 1U to do some shopping. Bought a concealer to cover up my dark eye circles courtesy of APIIT (dark eye circles, not concealer...-_-''). Went home and wanted to do my last load of laundry, but SissyDear commandeered the washing machine for her laundry...Oh, well....OOooo...have a bruise on my butt after I fell on it in the park. Was holding on to Jo's cocker spaniel Brandy, and she saw something that interested her, gave a mighty tug, and the next thing u know, I'm on my butt on the wet grass. The chair I was sitting on was kinda on a slope though and Brandy caught me by surprise, so maybe that's why I fell so easily...Was screaming like a little girl when I realised what was about to happen (was at it for quite some time) but no one came to my rescue :( Heard Ivan laughing there some more *sniff* Ouch...

Monday, was supposed to go down to Klang today, but SissyDear skipped work and wanted to go to 1U. Me starting to get itchy also, so I decided to postpone Klang and tag along with SissyDear. Walked into Padini Concept Store and bought 2 pairs of shoes within 10 minutes (they were 50% off!!! Original price >RM60, couldn't resist!). Went to F.O.S. and bought 2 'Old Navy' long sleeve tops for RM29, 2 cute racer-back tees for RM16 and 2 pairs of these oh-so-cute shorts for RM26. Since I was already on a shopping spree, decided to do further damage and buy some face powder also... -_-'' Dunno if I should be happy or sad on that day. Happy coz I bought so many new stuff, or sad coz I spent so much getting those said stuff...Hmm....

Tuesday, in Klang now, just as I had promised Mumi (she was making a lot of noise bout why I was on holiday for so long already but now only coming home....)

Wednesday, hhhmmm, Wednesday, Wednesday....hopefully someone will ask me out tomorrow, but not that optimistic though...haih...

Paid Sunday

Am at Starbucks now, working. Yup, that's right, I'm being paid to blog and go shopping and sit around and hang out. WOOTS!!! Yesterday, I was at Lot 10, and managed to get Balenciaga purses for Mumi and SissyDear. I owed them like, damn a lot of presents already, and the purses were on sale, so everyone is happy :D Going to 1Utama later. I think I'll try to look for a belated birthday present for Ty....Blue dog plushie sounds like a good idea...Don't know if they make those, but Celine told me that they have a blue Patrick, so must try and look for it later....

Have been home alone since Friday, and I have to say, it was real lonely and sien. SissyDear went to Klang to stay and took the dogs with her. Luckily, I had a guys night out on Friday with Jeff, Steven, TC, JM and Banana, or else I would have gone nuts at home. And why do I call it a guys night out when I'm a girl? Well, it's coz they were checking girls out the whole night :s Kinda missed having the dogs around though. I keep catching myself calling out to them to give them tummy rubs, but then I remember that they're not home... :(

Yup...Crocs Inc, manufacturer of those funny, weird looking, yet comfortable shoes are letting customers take their latest models for a 48 hour test drive (models = shoes people, shoes! What you thinking la...? Pervs...). Best thing is, if you don't like it for whatever reason, you can just return it within 48 hours, no obligations. Of course, before you can actually take it out for a test drive you have to pay for the shoes first la...But you can get your money back if you return the shoes WITHIN 48 HOURS.

BigSissy has a Beach, JayJay has a blue Kids Cayman, and BabyTy has a green Kids Cayman. Now itchy backside, thinking of getting a Nile or a Beach also, but it costs RM129!!! But it IS comfy...perfect for that beach holiday I'm planning also...hehehe....You can even accessorise your shoes!!! You stuff these little thingys called Jibbitz into the holes of your Crocs (well, those models with holes anyway...) and voila, fashion slave in the making!
